Briefly about the Trip

Brazil attracts with a fascinating mix of electrifying metropolises, vast natural landscapes, and a thrilling zest for life. The fifth-largest country in the world has amazing train journeys, as well as cultural and scenic highlights to offer that will surprise you.

We start the tour in Salvador de Bahia, one of the culturally most diverse cities in Brazil. Salvador de Bahia has a fantastic colonial center where many cultural events take place.

We fly to Vitoria, from where we travel by train for nearly 700 km to Belo Horizonte, the capital city of Minas Gerais. Minas Gerais is heaven for Museum Railways. The first museum train trip goes from Ouro Preto to Mariana. Then, we travel to Tiradentes, where we ride on another Museum Train to Sao Joao del Rei.

In Rio de Janeiro, we visit the Sugarloaf Moutain and the Corcovado, among many other sights in the city. We continue traveling south for a journey on Brazil’s most famous tourist train from Curitiba to Moretes. Feel the tropical breeze when we ride on this fantastic train through breathtaking tropical mountain scenery. In Campinas, we ride on the museum steam train to Jaguariuna.

Sao Paulo is the last destination of our trip. We visit the city and make a journey to Paranapiacaba, where we visit the spectacular old Funicular System. You have the option to visit the spectacular Iguazu Falls from Sao Paulo.
